Media critque. (j1)
My media critic is on Charles Gaza way a wave 3 writer who published a article about UPS hiring positions under top stories. First off i want to say that this in no way is relevant to top stories witch brings me to my first point which is Mr.Gaza is breaking a major rule in the nine principles of journalism; He is making the interesting important, he is doing this because it is not a story on Ups hiring 20000 people or something that would be relevant to society but matter a fact he is just publishing a job ad and trying to pass it off as news. Simply he should not have picked this topic it is far too irrelevant to talk about. Second i completely disagree with the way he presented the information because Mr. Gaza broke a major rule which is loyalty, he did this because all he did was fill the story with publicity to UPS and making it seem like they are changing the world with a few hundred jobs, He completely went out of his way to make sure this story got as much light as possible and got as much publicity as he could. Mr. Gaza wrote a poor story filled it with no detail, Had no structure, had no meaning, no relevance, and no news ethnically. Mr. Gaza also broke two rules out of the nine present to the journalism world. wave three passing this off as news relevance under top story is pitiful.
Response to " I am Jade's" article on binary models (link below)
For Jade's article on binary models i disagreed with alot of things. I found there to be many things wrong with the article but one thing that could have been changed was the use of how you presented your information. While lists and bullet points are easy to read they are far to linear to be used as a response to a lecture. with bullet points you are just reading information there is no way to internalize it because there is no background information and there is no extra information besides just definitions. Looking past that you did not include all of the biary models, you only included two. If you are going to just give facts give all of them because it adds holes to your story. I am in no way saying my responses are perfect but what i said earlier were some of the things i noticed and disagreed with on your article.

Response of Cam's Blog Post on the Printing Press (Link Below)
I couldn't agree more on cam's blog post about the printing press! Cam had a really well thoughtful and well rounded article and it amazed me about how much detail she was actually including. Almost like i was back in the classroom listening to the lecture. What i found to be so interesting about cams blog post is that she didn't leave out any detail, explaining her thinking process and her mindset through her work. Beautifully written paragraph and i enjoyed the amount of explaining you did and how thoroughly you went over the impacts of the printing press. one thing i specifically liked was the use of the reasons why the printing press mattered because that gave readers some background first hand information even though they were not at the lecture.

Demassification (J1)
When we learned about Demassification in J1 i really found interesting that a big company can come around and just drop a asset and make that asset potentially go bankrupt. I really find that disturbing because when you work that hard for a business and you do so much it isn't fare that a big conglomeration can make you bankrupt with one swipe. Along with that idea demassification is really interesting just everything about it invokes a fire in me, to be more precise i like thinking about the idea that a huge company has to just target a nee-ch audience because they are forced to. Also i learned a big part of demassification was TV and how it stole alot of things from the newspapers hurting the newspapers and magazines. Before J1 i never really understood why magazines weren't relevant but now i understand its because of demassification.
Response to Newspaper discussion J1
In Mr.Millers class(J1) we had talked about how newspapers were still relevant and why they are so popular. I feel that that topic was the far most interesting topic we have talked about because there was so much information to learn. That topic sparked my interest because i had never thought of newspaper as still relevant and still popular with the older generation. I learned things like news papers are a non linear form of media and i never really knew that term, but now i can effectively distinguish from linear and non-linear forms of media. Another thing that interested me about newspapers were that they can be archivable before J1 i would not have known what that meant and why its important but now i can give examples and state why it is so important to archive some articles and favorite stories.
Response to Uk constitution Day
Yesterday on September 18th 2014 Mr.miller and Ms. Palmer took all of us to the UK constitution day to realize how fortunate we are for having free press. Besides the Harte speech that was given i really enjoyed the festival as they taught alot of valuable skills for writing and for Broadcast journalism ( Both of those topics being the ones i want to study) I agreed with all of the writing steps he talked about as that is what makes a well made article. Also in broadcast journalism i found that i am a fast speaker and i need to work on that if i ever get in front of the mic. All in all i learned alot of valuable lessons on constitution day and it was a cherishing moment.

Sep-9th02014 J1 response
Today on September 9th 2014 in Mr.Millers J1 class we talked about major inventions that changed media and press. One invention we talked about was the print and press, I found the lecture on the print and press to be very fascinating and interesting. The way that ancient civilizations used print to express there ideas just invoked a fire in me. It intreges me how civilizations can build upon each others knowledge without any physical contact. Also it fascinates me how one man can revolutionize such an invention to make the print world viable for use. Over all todays class lectures were very interesting and relevant to news and media.
